THE PERFECT FIT MATTERS
How to make sure your eyeglasses fit perfectly
Sometimes finding the right pair of eyeglasses is more than what looks good or is currently trending. It should feel good too!
Ill-fitting glasses can also leave you feeling uncomfortable, cause eyestrain, headaches, and even nausea.
No matter how stylish your new pair of glasses might look, if they don’t fit well, you will not be happy wearing them.
Pushing up your glasses to keep them from sliding down your nose is no fun at all. It can be quite annoying when going about your daily work.
So how do you know what is the perfect fit?
Your eyeglasses should feel comfortable. The best fitting glasses are those that you can rely on to stay on your face without causing any discomfort or strain on your eyes.
Here's what to look for...
Spectacle arms / temple length
Here is where it gets tricky. We often overlook the spectacle arms because we think they aren’t as important as the front. The spectacle arms play an important role in keeping your glasses in the right position.
Too short, and the entire frame will seem to be pressed against your face. This will make it look and feel wrong.
It should create a horizontal line across your face when viewed from a side angle. It should not be slanted upwards or downwards, but straight.
The arms should not pinch at the back of the ear. Make sure the spectacle arms curve just over the ear to give it the right support.
Oversized glasses are all the hype! But, there is a difference between oversized and just plain too big for your face.
Make sure that the width of the frame does not exceed the width of your face at the temples.
There should not be a gap of more than a centimeter between the inner corner of your glasses and the temple of your face.
Finding it difficult to find the right fit?
Finding the right pair of eyewear is like finding the right shoe. They may all look good, but you can’t wear them if it doesn’t fit right.
Likewise, every face has distinct features. The length and width can differ from person to person. If you are one of those that just cannot find the right size of glasses, then custom made eyeglasses are the way to go.
With custom made eyewear, you can choose the frame you like with the size tailored to your unique requirements.

Tips to help you choose the right style for your face
Did you know that the shape of the nose bridge can either make your nose appear shorter or longer?
If you want your nose to appear longer, choose a frame with a keyhole nose bridge like the one below. It exposes more of the top part of your nose, giving the illusion of a longer nose
To make your nose appear shorter, choose a frame with a saddle nose bridge. It hides part of the nose making it seem shorter.
A saddle nose bridge provides comfort as it follows the contour of the nose, evenly spreading the weight of the frame.
Bold full rimmed frames make you look confident. They draw attention to themselves and perfectly frame your eyes while doing so.
These frames are great for those who want to pull focus away from facial features.
